This extends into combat where you’ll absolutely need to use creative locomotion to survive encounters with enemies. Like Tony Hawk, Sunset Overdrive demands that you use skill to get around, so you always feel in control. The good news is that jumping from flag poles to roof tops to cars doesn’t feel automatic. Running is slow, so even when the area is clear of mutants, you’ll want to use your grinds and wallruns to go from point A to point B. Getting around the world of Sunset City really is the big draw here. It’s crazy, and it’s fun enough to support a pretty entertaining campaign that only has a few minor issues.
